Frankston Basketball is pleased to confirm the Winter 2021 ‘Fratelli Frankston Junior Domestic Competitions begin this week.
We are thrilled to announce a new Winter record number of 594 junior teams that have registered this season.
Please find the information below for our upcoming Winter 2021 ‘Fratelli Frankston junior domestic competition.
Fixtures
Grading Phase 1 fixtures are now available for mid-week U16 – U21 competitions:
Thursday U18 – U21 boys competitions will be available from 5pm Monday 19th April.
Saturday U8 – U14 competitions will be available from 5pm Tuesday 20th April.
U8 teams – please refer to section below regarding important changes to the season structure for this age group.

A record 594 junior teams have registered:
- U8 Boys (46 teams)
- U8 Girls (18 teams)
- U10 Boys (75 teams)
- U10 Girls (50 teams)
- U12 Boys (86 teams)
- U12 Girls (53 teams)
- U14 Boys (72 teams)
- U14 Girls (47 teams)
- U16 Boys (62 teams)
- U16 Girls (28 teams)
- U18 Boys (29 teams)
- U18 Girls (10 teams)
- U21 Boys (16 teams)
- U21 Girls (2 teams) – Age group combined with U18 Girls
Grading
The Junior Competition Committee is meeting tonight, Monday 19th April to review grading pools.
Grading will return to our regular 3-phase structure for all junior competitions this season with the exception of our U8 competitions.

FDBA will be trialing a change to the structure for our U8 competitions this season.

Season Structure Summary
- First 4 rounds will consist of our standard 2 x 2 week grading phases
- Regular season will consist of 3 x Development Blocks:
- Block 1: Weeks 5 to 10 (no games week 8 – Queens Birthday long weekend)
- Block 2: Weeks 11 to 15
- Block 3: Weeks 16 to 20
