Dear members,
Following the Victorian State Government’s announcement yesterday and further clarity from Basketball Victoria, FDBA will be proceeding with a staged return of operations.
Unfortunately, due to the 50 person indoor venue limit, it is not feasible to resume competitions this week.
However, we are pleased to announce that development programs and training will recommence.

Domestic Competitions (Junior & Senior)
It is anticipated that the restrictions currently in place for regional Victoria will apply for Metropolitan Melbourne from 11.59 pm Thursday 24th June.
This will allow domestic competition to resume under ORANGE-50 of Basketball Victoria’s return to sport guidelines.
All domestic competitions are forecast to return from Saturday 26th June:
- Postponed round 6 U8 – U14 Boys and Girls matches will be rescheduled for Saturday 26th June, some fixture adjustments may occur.
- Postponed U18 – U21 Boys will resume Thursday 15th July after school holidays. Grading confirmation phased adjusted to 1 round, final grading changes to be reflected in season fixture.
- U16 – U21 Girls will resume Monday 12th July after school holidays.
- U16 Boys will resume Wednesday 14th July after school holidays.
- All senior competitions to resume from Sunday 27th June as per season fixture – matches scheduled during lockdown canceled in accordance with domestic competition by-laws.

Development Programs
Development Programs will be recommencing from Friday 18th June.
Some modifications will be made to comply with restrictions.

Team Bookings & Casual Shooting
In the absence of domestic competitions this week we are offering court hire at Frankston Stadium.
All bookings are fifty minutes in duration (to allow for a ten-minute change-over) and are strictly capped at 10 people per group including the coach. All attendees must check in on arrival.
Courts 1, 3, 4 and 5 will be in use. Patrons are not to interact with other groups during their sessions.
Bookings must be completed online, any walk-up patrons will not be permitted to enter the stadium.
A $20.00 hire fee applies.

Frankston Blues Juniors
Training for all Junior Blues teams will re-commence Sunday 20th of June.
Our Victorian Championship teams will be offered an additional session on Friday 18th June.
Some modifications will be made to comply with restrictions.
No parents/spectators may attend these trainings.

Training for all Senior Blues teams will re-commence Tuesday 22nd of June, details to be communicated directly with teams.
All resumption dates are indicative only and subject to change pending public health advice.
