Frankston & District Basketball Association is incredibly proud to announce they have received Basketball Vicotria’s most prestigious award; Association of the Year for 2021.
FDBA CEO Wayne Holdsworth spoke about the enormous pleasure to accept the award on behalf of this great Association.

Key Association Achievements
- Continued stability at the Board level with no change in the past 2 years with 4 Women and 4 Men on the Board.
- Successful introduction of programs and procedures around player, parent, and spectator behavior.
- 100% reactivation rate of participation after Covid interruption due to a substantial engagement strategy
- A successful focus on internal staff training and development to position themselves to progress in sports administration.
- Successful advocating all levels of Government and Opposition for the expansion and upgrade of our Frankston basketball stadium. $15 Million commitment from Frankston LGA and Federal Opposition $15 million.
- Equality in the budget for Men’s and Women’s representative programs. Ie budget for player salaries and coach salaries identical for NBL1, Senior, and Junior Blues rep programs.

Junior Representative (VJBL)
- Seven Teams qualified for Victorian Championship.
- Under 14 Girls BA National championships qualification.

- NBL1 & Big V Youth League Teams. All four teams finished in the top 4, before seasons canceled.
