We have just registered our 1013th team in the FDBA Summer 2022/23 season for both the Junior and Senior competitions, which has been another increase from the 926 teams registered for the just-completed Winter 2022 season.
This record is due to many factors including but limited to the enormous focus this Association places on its development and transitional programs particularly Mini and Aussie Hoops combined with the massive contribution our Domestic club volunteers make to promote basketball and then administer the teams.
Underpinning this growth is a record number of 30 Under 8 Girls teams, which brings the total Summer 2022/23 of female teams to a record 277 teams. This constitutes 5.7% growth in female team registrations.
With all of the interruptions that have occurred in the past 2 years we are delighted that we have not only bounced back but burst through with record numbers.
Junior team registrations are set to close on Friday 23rd September which gives the opportunity for more teams to be registered for Summer 2022/23.
