Frankston Basketball is pleased to confirm the Summer 2022/23 ‘Fratelli Frankston’ Junior Domestic Competitions have commenced this week.
In what has been a season of record-shattering numbers, FDBA has experienced record growth with the number of junior teams registered at a staggering 726 teams.
The junior competition growth and increased numbers in our senior domestic competitions has brought the amount of registered domestic teams for Summer 2022/23 to a total of 1052.
This is an increase from 926 teams from Winter 2022 and 876 from the Summer 2021/22 season.
We would like to thank all of our domestic clubs for their tireless work in achieving this feat.
Grading Phase 1 fixtures are now available for mid-week U16 – U21 competitions:

Saturday U8 – U14 competitions will be available to view online from 5.00pm Wednesday 5th October.

A record 727 junior teams have registered:

Grading
The Junior Competition Committee held its first meeting on Monday 3rd October to review the grading pool’s and allocate initial grades.
Grading will consist of the regular 2-phase structure for all junior competitions with the exception of our U8 competitions (see below).

Season Structure Summary
First 2 rounds will consist of our standard 2 week grading phase
- First 4 rounds will consist of the standard 2-week grading phase
- Regular season will consist of 3 x development blocks
- Block 1: Weeks 6 to 11 (no game week 6 due to the Sth Pen. Tournament)
- Block 2: Weeks 12 to 16
- Block 3: Weeks 17 to 20 (no game week 17 due to Labour Day)
