Frankston & District Basketball Association are pleased to be hosting a #HoopsForHomeless Round thanks to the help of the Lighthouse Foundation.
The round will be held on Saturday, March 4th, during our biggest day of junior competitions.
Lighthouse Foundation provides young people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, with the care and support they need to heal, thrive and achieve a lifelong sense of belonging. This is a cause close to the heart of the Frankston & District Basketball Association and our community.
Lighthouse are selling bright orange socks, themed drink bottles and raffle tickets! Our aim for the weekend is to raise critical funds and awareness for Melbourne’s most vulnerable children and young people, who have been affected by long-term neglect, trauma and homelessness.
Pre-purchased items will be available to pick up from the Frankston Basketball Stadium front office (9am – 5pm) from March 1 to March 3.
Pre-purchased items can also be collected on gameday (Saturday, 4th March) at the three venues found at the bottom of this page.
Every dollar that Lighthouse makes goes directly to the support the young people they are currently providing a home and therapeutic care for.
Let’s raise awareness by filling our stadiums with orange – Head to https://shoutforgood.com/b/dyfed4 to make your purchases and donations.
We kindly ask that those who have pre-purchased to supply remittance/confirmation of your order upon collection.
