Tonight our Victorian Youth Championship Men will play their first Big V Final of the year!
The Youth Men finished 3rd in the Terril Pool with 12 wins and 10 losses, lining the team up to play against 2nd in the Watson Pool, the Kilsyth Cobras.
Kilsyth are expected the live stream the game from 7:00pm HERE, but you can follow live stats HERE.
Head Coach Duncan Berg spoke about the upcoming game and the season that unfolded.
“Ten players from last year’s squad are no longer with the group, so building a new team in a higher-level competition was a difficult challenge for all involved. To meet our goals and make finals in our first year is a great result and shows that our program is on the right path.”
“This week, it’s the quarterfinal game at Kilsyth. We got close last time, going down by just three points. Kilsyth are a tough squad and have been the league’s best team all season. Scoring points will be difficult, so we will rely heavily on our teamwork and depth, particularly with our NBL1 team playing at the same time.”
“Three wins to a title. One loss and it’s over. Everyone is excited and ready to get this game started. This is why we love to play.”
LET’S GO BLUES!!!
