COREY HASTINGS SIGNS FOR TWO YEARS

The Frankston Blues (FDBA) are pleased to announce that Corey Hastings has signed his first playing contract, committing to the club for the next two years.

Hastings, who grew up on the Peninsula, is an Australian junior national team player with immense potential and a bright future.

Over the past two seasons, Corey has been a member of the club’s NBL1 South Men. In 2023, he appeared in nine games, averaging under five minutes per game. By 2024, his role expanded significantly, with his playing time increasing to over 10 minutes per game.

Adam Jackson, assistant coach and head of recruitment for the Frankston Blues Men’s team, shared his enthusiasm about the signing:

“It’s great that Corey has committed to the club. We believe he can make significant strides this year, both as our point guard and off-the-ball.”

In addition to his contributions to the NBL1 South Men, Corey is expected to continue playing an important role in the club’s Victorian Youth Championship Men’s squad.

Corey shared his excitement about continuing his journey with the Frankston Blues.

“The club culture is something I’m really proud to be part of, and I’m incredibly grateful to my teammates and the coaching staff for giving me so many opportunities throughout my time here.

“I’m looking forward to the next two seasons and can’t wait to contribute to an already amazing organisation.”

Corey Hastings joins contracted players Michael Harris, Daniel Trist, Igor Hadziomerovic, Tom Garrett, and Lucas Barker.
