PARENT/GUARDIAN REMINDER (28/07/2021)

Dear Members,

Following yesterday’s announcement for a return to basketball, FDBA wishes to remind all members that a number of restrictions are in place to ensure compliance with COVID Safety regulations.

FDBA will not tolerate abuse or poor treatment of staff, supervisors or referees. We understand that restrictions are difficult and ask for your support to assist with a safe return to basketball.

Players, Parents/Guardians, Scorers, Referees will not be granted entry to any FDBA venue until the previous games’ personal have left the playing space. Separate entry and exit points will be marked at all FDBA venues.

As per changes in Restrictions from 11:59 pm Wednesday 28th July; Victoria, Community Sport

Community sport:

Spectators not allowed (excludes people necessary for events such as teachers, instructors, trainers, coaches, umpires, carers, parents and guardians)

In accordance with the Victorian Government restrictions and Basketball Victoria’s ORANGE-50 Guidelines (Announcement), the following will apply at all FDBA venues for both domestic and representative competitions:

FDBA Staff and Covid Marshalls will be monitoring teams and parent/guardian numbers and Covid 19 compliance at all FDBA venues.

We also wish to reminder players that those over the age of 12, must wear masks until the commencement of their games warm-up, and wear them as they exit the stadium.

Spectator limitations are required to ensure compliance with density quotients in stadium areas defined as useable space.
