FDBA COVID PROTOCOL – POSITIVE CASE & CONTACT NOTIFICATION

Dear Members,

There have been recent changes to public health advice from the state government regarding the management of positive COVID cases and contacts.

It is our understanding that all contacts of a positive case during basketball activities are to be considered ‘Social contacts’ as defined on the government website:

FDBA protocol for positive case management is as follows:

Any clubs that become aware of a positive case attendance during organised training should notify all social contacts and the operator of the facility.

The infectious period is classified as 2 days before symptoms were noticed or notification of a positive test (whichever is earlier).

And indoor space is considered a partially or fully enclosed court area as defined in the Open Premises Directions.

Any team that is required to forfeit a match will not be penalised.
