FDBA BRING A GRANDPARENT WEEK

In conjunction with Basketball Victoria’s Walking Basketball initiative and Basketball Australia’s Aussie Hoops program, the FDBA will be hosting
‘Bring a Grandparent Week’ from June 5 until June to 10.

The purpose is for our Aussie Hoopers and Mini Hoopers to show their grandparents some new tricks and for our young tackers to learn a thing or two from their grandma, grandpa or a senior friend during their Mini Hoops/Aussie Hoops session.

All sessions of both Aussie Hoops and Mini Hoops will be modified during the Bring a Grandparent Week (June 5-10).

Following the TUESDAY session of Aussie Hoops; we will be providing all Aussie Hoopers and their grandparents an afternoon tea, just like we do for Walking Basketball sessions.

Our AUSSIE HOOPS sessions for Bring a Grandparent week include:

Our MINI HOOPS sessions for Bring a Grandparent week include:

We then encourage our Aussie and Mini Hoopers to come down to support their Grandparents at Walking Basketball during the week (providing the individual child’s school schedule permits). Walking Basketball during this week will be held on Thursday, June 8, at 11:00am.

Walking Basketball sessions are held at Dreamstreet Lending Arena and is completely free to any participants and will run on Thursday’s at 11:00am.

Our coaches will be facilitating and running the program, the plan is to be on court for about 45-60 minutes and then the session will end with a morning tea, just like we do for all our Walking Basketball sessions.
