The Frankston & District Basketball Association are pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Holdsworth as General Manager.
Wayne steps into the role following the resignation of Nathan Jolly in January.
Wayne comes to us with a wealth of sports administration executive experience across a number of sports and he is very much looking forward to working for the FDBA to continue to grow the Association across a number of areas.
When asked for his thoughts on his appointment, Holdsworth said “I am delighted and excited to be working with the board of management, the office team and all stakeholders associated with the FDBA.”
“The opportunity that exists is significant and the prospect to grow basketball in all aspects is enormous”
FDBA President Gary Emery is looking forward to working with Wayne to continue the Association’s growth.
“Wayne led a very large and strong field of applicants who went through an exhaustive selection process. We are pleased to have secured Wayne and we look forward to working with Wayne to grow basketball in our region.”
Acknowledging outgoing General Manager Nathan Jolly Emery continued “I also want to express my sincere gratitude for the enormous contribution that Nathan Jolly made in the 7 years he led the Association which had seen him tirelessly and selflessly grow the Association not only in modernising our processes but overseeing the participation grow into one of the top associations nationally as well as securing major events and many more milestones”
The FDBA would like to express our appreciation for Nathan’s service and wish him success in his future endeavours.
Nathan provided the following comment “With a lifelong connection to the FDBA, it was a great honour to serve an Association that continues to be such a positive touch point to many in our community as the largest member based organisation in the South East.”
Wayne will commence on March 25, 2019.
