NBL1 Women vs Kilsyth

The Blues overturned a big quarter time deficit to record a seven-point win the Cobras at the Kilsyth Sports Centre.

Frankston were down 12 at the first break with Kilsyth dominating proceedings, although it was all the Blues for the final three quarters, winning each one en route to the victory.

Shereesha Richards had a huge performance and led the visitors behind her 30 points and 19 rebounds, while Taylor Lee chipped in with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Lauren Nicholson led the scoring for the hosts with 25 points and nine rebounds, although they could only shoot 35% from the field compared to the Blues’ 43%.

Frankston trailed by 15 early in the second before making their move, although it took them until the third before they took the lead.

Kilsyth regained the lead halfway through the final term, although the Blues finished the game on a 16-8 run to win 78-71.


NBL1 Men vs Kilsyth

Frankston exploded in the first term and put Kilsyth to the sword early, as they eased to a 93-58 win.

The Blues scored 30 points to the Cobras’ seven in the opening 10 minutes, basically putting the game to bed.

The visitors then won the next two quarters by a combined 13 points, before the Cobras saved some face and won the final quarter.

It was a team effort for the Blues, with six players scoring in double digits.

Lachlan Barker (19 points, three rebounds) and Dan Trist (15 points, 12 rebounds) led the way, while Damon Bozeman added 14 points and five boards.

Isaac Turner was the standout for the hosts with 28 points, but the Cobras could only shoot 28% from the field, compared to the Blues’ 52%.

Frankston have moved into third at 13-6, while Kilsyth are now fifth at 11-8.
