In recent times children have narrowly escaped serious injury at the stadium due to children climbing on tables in the foyer and trying to fly like Superman as well as children using chairs as items to throw at other children and finally children doing their best to pull the newly acquired coffee machine down…
I have seen littlies walking out of the stadium doors on their own directly onto the road… a recipe for disaster with the number of cars that are around.
This lack of supervision and subsequent activity has the potential to cause serious injury and damage.
Whilst this stadium was built several decades ago it is our basketball home and my team and families spent many volunteer hours painting and updating many parts of the stadium during the lockdown in 2020 and we collectively are disappointed to see activity that is not only dangerous but damaging carried out by unsupervised children.
All children that are here to watch siblings play have finished playing and are watching other siblings play must be with their parents at all times.
Parents, please ensure your children are supervised at all times and be on notice that stadium supervisors will take action for the safety of everyone.
