We are proud to announce our ‘Impact Realty’ Frankston Blues boy’s coaching lineup for the upcoming 2022/23 VJBL Season.
In the Under 12s, Luke D’Alcorn will continue with our 2012 borns, into the 1s head coaching role. Luke is a former Frankston Blues junior, who played Under 12s all the way thru to Under the 20s, won a Youth League championship and was part of the early NBL1 program. Taking the 2s will be Graeme Polglasse who had huge success with our 12.4s team this year, just missing out on finals, finishing sixth in VJBL1.
NBL1 player, Tom Garrett will take the 2013-borns (team 3), supported by Youth League teammate Nick Fulton. Youth League star and fan-favourite Tim Wells is returning back down with the double bottom, 2014-born boys.
In the Under 14s, Brad Szalek will continue with the 2010 borns. In 2022, Brad was involved in Basketball Victoria’s high-performance programs including Country-Metro Challenge, State Development Program and more recently the NPP Giddy-Daniels Cup. Taking the 2s will be club stalwart Brett Andersen and 4-time Olympian David Andersen. And following a silver-medaling National Junior Classic with our current Under 16.1s, Daniel Spangler will be taking the 2011 borns (team 3).
In the Under 16s, Vicotria Metro Under 16s National Championships head coach Scott Christiansen will take the 1s with the support of former Victorian Metro state coach Tony Smyth. Scott Enno will return to coach the 2s. And returning with the 2009-borns (team 3), Campbell Robinson will continue the amazing work he has been doing.
In the Under 18’s, club legend and now FDBA Life Member Paul Groat will head coach the 1s, supported by Scott Christiansen. The 2s will be coached by our NBL1 Men’s starting point guard Lucas Barker.
