Metro athletes have been name in Future Development Program (FDP) and State Development Program (SDP) squads along with athletes named for the Southern Cross Challenge (SCC) after showing high amounts of talent from recent tryouts, including 32 Frankston Blues athletes
The SCC representatives will earn insight into elite development and higher-level gameplay across the two elite junior tournaments held in January.
Southern Cross Challenge (SCC)
The 2023 Southern Cross Challenge will be held at the State Basketball Centre, Knox Basketball Stadium and Fairhills High School from 20-23 January 2023.
The Southern Cross Challenge (SCC) is the beginning of the high-performance pathway for identified athletes, coaches and officials. A Basketball Victoria initiative, the tournament is positioned to aid the development of those identified, providing an opportunity to take part in an elite tournament setting against other competing states.
FDP commences on 12th and 13th November with Intro Camps
SDP commences on 29th and 30th October with Intro Camps
ECC to be announced November.
