WAYNE HOLDSWORTH RECEIVES BV ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Last night at the 2023 Basketball Victoria Awards, FDBA CEO Wayne Holdsworth received the Jack Carter Administrator of the Year Award.

The Jack Carter Administrator of the Year Award recognises an administrator for their outstanding contribution to Victorian basketball during 2022. The award recognises work in areas such as developmental activities, management skills, marketing activities and financial achievements.

In 2022, under Wayne’s leadership, FDBA achieved record domestic competitions growth and participation, introduced and developed inclusion projects such as All-Abilities and Walking Basketball, secured funding from key stakeholders for facility development, participation in the NBL1 National Championships and provided staff development and pathways, amongst other achievements.

As announced in November 2022, the FDBA is pleased to say Wayne Holdsworth has signed with the FDBA until 2027.

FDBA President Tim Bower praised Wayne’s contributions to the Association.

“Wayne has been a fantastic leader for the FDBA since 2019. We are incredibly pleased to see our governing body recognise his achievements for our Association”

“2022 was a special year for the FDBA on and off the basketball courts, and under his leadership, we look forward to what the future holds for the FDBA.”

Wayne Holdsworth spoke about the Award.

”Whilst this award has my name on it the award represents all the work that every volunteer, parent and participant commits to and very importantly I represent the FDBA Board lead by the brilliant Tim Bower and my team of talented, committed and caring people Mitch, Daniel, Bailey, Steve, Tanya, Dyl and Alessanadra – they are the people that make it happen”
