The FDBA launched it’s inaugural All-Abilities competition on April 28, with players taking the court for the first time in their 19-week season, donning their new playing uniforms, proudly provided by Frankston City Council.
The competition includes 6 teams that ball out every week in a fun, inclusive, modified game environment.
Lead by our coaches Alex Noble, Riley Noble, Paige Hernan, Lachlan Barker, Oliver Dignan and Bonnie-Rae Thomson. Each team cannot wait to show off their skills every Friday evening.

“My son thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to it every Friday,” Maria said.
“It has been great to see him being involved and included in a space that is 100% inclusive and non-judgemental. He can go at his own pace and have a break if needed. Lovely to see him learn all the other players names whom he greets weekly, and models’ positive behaviour from his peers.
“We will continue to come as this program provides him with not only social skills but also incorporates gross motor fine motor co-ordination and problem solving. His ability to shoot hoops has improved significantly as has his bouncing & catching skills.”
The competition is overseen by the FDBA’s Program Support Officer, Tanya Thomas.
“My favourite part is watching each participant arrive at the stadium wearing their Frankston uniform and then taking the court, just like other people get to do,” Tanya said.
“It’s important to the FDBA that everyone who wants to play, can do so, in an environment tailored to their needs. We will continue to provide opportunities for everyone in our community,” she said.
Our All-Abilities competition runs every Friday at 5:00pm, at Dreamstreet Lending Arena.
