We want to extend a huge thank you to all the teams, participants, spectators and referees who made the Frankston 3×3 Street Hustle Event on Saturday, a resounding success. It was an impressive turnout, with 74 teams registering and showcasing their skills across 198 games throughout the day.
From the very first game until the last, the competition was fierce, yet the games were played in the true spirit of sportsmanship. It was amazing to see the passion and teamwork displayed in all matches.
A special congratulations to the outstanding teams who emerged as champions and runners up in their respective age groups.
In the 10 & Under Boys division, Melbourne Takis emerged victorious with a commanding 12-5 win over The Hotshots. Meanwhile, the 10 & Under Girls saw an intense battle, with M.E Stars edging out Fairy Floss by the narrowest of margins, 9-8.
Moving up to the 12 & Under age group, The Moody Blues triumphed over Juicy Fruits with a nail-biting 18-17 victory in the boys’ division. In the girls’ category, Hair Jordans showed their prowess and defeated Dragons with a score of 12-2.
The 14 & Under Boys division witnessed an exciting clash between Fighting Artichokes and Chelsea, with the former emerging as victors with an enthralling 8-6 win. The Vales showcased their talent in the 14 & Under Girls bracket by and defeating Titans by seven points, 13-6.
Last but not least, the showdown for the 16 & Under Boys title between Gladiator Stride and Freak Throws saw Gladiator Stride prevailing with a three-point victory, 14-11.
