SEPTEMBER 2023 3X3 STREET HUSTLE RECAP

We’d like to express our appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the Frankston 3×3 Street Hustle Event this past Saturday. It was a remarkable turnout,
with 89 teams registering and engaging in 248 games across the day.

From the first tip-off to the closing buzzer, the competition was fierce, yet every game was played in the true spirit of sportsmanship. The level of skill and teamwork was highly impressive to witness throughout each and every match.

A special congratulations to the exceptional teams that emerged as champions and those who secured runner-up positions in their respective age categories.”

10 & Under:
Melbourne Takis couldn’t quite win back-to-back titles, being knocked out in the pooling rounds. Thunder emerged victorious in the 10 & Under Boys division with a commanding 21-4 win over The Hotshots. Meanwhile, the 10 & Under Girls saw an intense battle, with M.E Stars winning back-to-back 3×3 titles, with an 11-2 win against SP Mini Boomers.

12 & Under:
Moving up to the 12 and under age group, The Blues triumphed over JR3 ELITE with a 12-2 victory in the boys’ division. In the girls’ category, Blue & Green showed their prowess and defeated WAHINE TOA with a score of 10-8.

14 & Under:
The 14 & Under Boys division witnessed an enthralling clash between Beanz and Ballz Up, with the former emerging victorious (13-12) after a last-second three-point hit. The Rangers showcased their talent in the 14 & Under Girls bracket by defeating the Breakers by nine points, 10-1.

16 & Under:
The showdown for the 16 & Under Boys title between Court Kings and Big Tarn saw the latter prevailing with a last-second rebound and putback to win it 15-14. The Rubies won the 16 and Under girls against a formidable FLYERS team.
