Frankston Basketball is pleased to confirm the Summer 2023/24 ‘Fratelli Frankston’ Junior Domestic Competitions are set to commence today, 2nd October 2023.
The junior competition growth and increased numbers in our senior domestic competitions have brought the amount of registered domestic teams for the Summer 2023/24 season to 1100!
Club and Team Delegates should be commended for their hard work in ensuring their teams are playing every week.
A reminder Grading Phase 1 fixtures are available for mid-week U16 – U21 Boys & Girls competitions:
Saturday U8 – U14 competition fixtures will be available to view online from the evening of Tuesday 3rd October.
U8 teams – please refer to the section below regarding season structure for the U8 competitions.

There are 749 junior teams for the Summer 2023/24 competition registered surpassing 729 in Summer 2023/24.

Grading
The Junior Competition Committee is holding its first meeting tonight to review the grading pool’s and to finalise the U8 – U14 age groups.
Grading will consist of the regular 2-phase structure for all junior competitions with the exception of our U8 competitions (see below).

Season Structure Summary
The first 2 rounds will consist of our standard 2-week grading phase
- The first 4 rounds will consist of the standard 2-week grading phase
- The regular season will consist of 3 x development blocks
- Block 1: Weeks 5 to 9
- Block 2: Weeks 10 to 14
- Block 3: Weeks 15 to 16
