The Big V Victorian Youth Championship 2024 season kicks off this weekend!

Our VYC Men’s team hits the road to face Wyndham on Saturday night (Live Stats), while our VYC Women’s team takes on the Altona Gators on Sunday afternoon (Live Stats). The opening weekend continues as our Men’s squad returns home to clash against the Dandenong Rangers (1:00 pm @ Dreamstreet Lending Arena)

Heading into the 2024 season, we’re thrilled to have the expertise of head coaches Tony Jackson and Duncan Berg leading the charge once again. They’ll be supported by returning coaches Byron Carpenter and Darcey Strauss, along with the valuable additions of Nick Tenner and April Whinston as assistant coaches for the Men’s and Women’s teams, respectively.

FDBA’s Manager – Frankston Blues, Daniel Spangler shared his thoughts on the approaching season.

“Our Youth League program is integral in guiding our players through the transition from junior to senior basketball. With the abundance of talent in our club, it is important we provide them with a platform to compete at an elite level.”

“While not every youth league player will ascend to NBL1-level competition, we take pride in offering opportunities for our players to continue their basketball journey beyond their junior years.”
