SCOTT CHRISTIANSEN RE-SIGNS FOR TWO YEARS

Frankston Blues (FDBA) are pleased to announce that our current Head of Coaching – Junior Boys, Scott Christiansen, has re-signed with the club for the next two years.

Scott first came to Frankston to coach in the junior program in the Under 12s, guiding a core group of players through to top-age Under 16s. He has since been head coaching the 2008-born boys (currently Boys Under 18.2), with his sights set on head coaching the 2012-borns, whom he currently assistant coaches (currently Boys Under 14.3).

Manager – Frankston, Daniel Spangler spoke about Christiansen’s influence on the club.

“This was a simple no-brainer. Scott brings a wealth of unmatched coaching experience to the Frankston Blues – Junior Boys’ program.”

“We look forward to seeing the next stage of Scott’s work to help develop great club-first players, coaches, and young men.”

Christiansen spoke about continuing with the club.

“I’m incredibly pleased with how the program is progressing as a whole.

“In recent years, the club has seen a significant increase in representation and participation in Basketball Victoria’s High-Performance programs and State Teams.”

“Our boys’ coaches are supporting each other and working together to ensure we are developing players for both now and the future of the club.”

“On a more personal note, it’s very pleasing to see many young men I’ve previously coached transition from the club’s junior program into the senior program’s VYC and NBL1 South Men’s teams.”

Following Scott Christiansen’s re-signing announcement, later this week, the club will announce its Frankston Blues – Junior Boys 2024/25 coaching line-up.
