HOOPS FOR HOMELESS ROUND – SATURDAY MAY 18TH

HOOPS FOR HOMELESS ROUND – SATURDAY MAY 18TH

Frankston & District Basketball Association are pleased to be hosting a #HoopsForHomeless Round thanks to the help of the Lighthouse Foundation.

The round will be held on Saturday, May 18th, during our biggest day of junior competitions.

Lighthouse Foundation provides young people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, with the care and support they need to heal, thrive and achieve a lifelong sense of belonging. This is a cause close to the heart of the Frankston & District Basketball Association and our community.

Lighthouse are selling bright orange socks, sweat bands and themed drink bottles! Our aim for the weekend is to raise critical funds and awareness for Melbourne’s most vulnerable children and young people, who have been affected by long-term neglect, trauma and homelessness.

Pre-purchased items will be available to pick up from the Frankston Basketball Stadium front office from:

  • Thursday, May 16, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Saturday, 8:00am – 2:00pm from either Dreamstreet Lending Arena or Elisabeth Murdoch College

Pre-purchasing not required, you can buy socks/apparel on the day from the above two venues.

Every dollar that Lighthouse makes goes directly to supporting young people and towards the resources needed to provide homes and therapeutic care.
