Frankston Blues are pleased to announce our ‘Pre Try-Out Program’, in partnership with All Dai Sports Performance.
This program and its sessions are only for current (VJBL 2023/24) representative players.
Led by head coach of All Dai Sports Performance and Frankston Blues NBL1 Men’s Captain, Lucas Barker, our Pre Try-Out Program promises to offer a Try-Out Preparation experience that will combine individual skill acquisition, gameplay situations and a competitive learning environment.
Additionally, over the School Holidays we will be running a single day sessions for Under 12s, 14s and 16s, Boys and Girls.
We will be joined by the team from Rise Health, who are qualified professionals, will conduct a clinic on junior athlete development on the important aspects of injury prevention, running technique, jumping and landing technique, and agility movements that can best help our athletes’ holistic development.
REIGSTRATION
Players are asked to register for their correct 2024/25 VJBL age group, and bring a basketball the appropriate size
- Under 12s: 2014, 2015 (Size 5)
- Under 14s: 2012, 2013 (Size 6)
- Under 16s/18s: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 (Girls Size 6 / Boys Size 7)
Session Dates/Times
- Term 3 Program – 3 weeks, running Thursdays and Sundays.
- THU 29/08, SUN 01/09, THU 05/09, SUN 08/09, THU 12/09, SUN 015/09
- Times:
- Thursdays: Under 12s 4:30-5:45pm, Under 14s 5:45-6:55pm (No U16/18) (UPDATED 29/08/24)
- Sundays: Under 12s 11:30-12:30pm, Under 14s 12:30-1:30pm, Under 16s/18s 1:30-2:30pm
- School Holiday Program (inc Rise Health session)
- Under 12s: Tuesday 24/09 – Girls 3:30pm-5:30pm & Boys 4:30pm-6.30pm
- Under 14s/U16s: Thursday 26/09 – Mixed 4:30pm-6.30pm
All Sessions will be at Dreamstreet Lending Arena.
Cost:
- Under 12s/Under 14s
- $150 for SIX sessions from 29/08 (Thursday & Sunday)
- $120 for FOUR sessions from 05/09 (Thursday & Sunday)
- $75 for THREE Sessions from either 29/08 or 01/09 (Either Thursdays ONLY or Sundays ONLY)
- $50 for TWO Sessions from either 29/08 or 01/09 (Either Thursdays ONLY or Sundays ONLY)
- Under 16s/18s $75 for THREE sessions. (Sun)
- $50 for TWO sessions from 08/09 (Sun)
- DISCOUNTED ADDITIONAL OPTION: $50 extra for School Holiday session inc. RISE HEALTH.
- SCHOOL HOLIDAY SESSION ONLY $60 per player
