The Frankston Blues are excited to announce the Age Group Head Coaches for the Girls Program for the upcoming 2024/25 VJBL season.
Returning to lead the Under 12s, Braithyn Kerr will serve as the Age Group Head Coach for the Under 12 Girls. Braithyn has demonstrated outstanding success over the past two seasons, with a Silver Medal at the National Junior Classic this year, following last year’s Gold Medal appearance, which later resulted in a Silver Medal in the Under 12 Girls Victorian Championship Grand Final.
Similarly, Cristy McClusky returns as the Head Coach for the Under 14 Girls. Cristy is currently focused on both the current Victorian Championship Finals, while planning and preparing for the National Under 14s Junior Club Championships.
A familiar face to the the club, the Age Group Head Coach for the Under 16 Girls will be April Winston . In the 2024, April was the club’s Big V Victorian Youth Championship Women’s Assistant Coach, and participate in both Basketball Australia’s Women’s Accelerated Coaching Program and Basketball Australia’s Coaches Conference at the AIS.
And lastly, returning to Head Coach the Under 18 Girl, Nikki Holmes will continue her work from the VJBL 2024/25. Nikki too has taken steps in her coaching development through Basketball Victoria’s Vic-Country and also a participate in both Basketball Victoria’s Women’s Accelerated Coaching Program and Basketball Australia’s Coaches Conference at the AIS.
