TEAMPAY AT FDBA
FDBA has partnered with Teampay as the Official Game Day Payments provider for Senior Domestic Basketball matches.
Teampay removes the burden of collecting team and player game fees, making it simple for team delegates to process match payments without having to pay at the front counter.
The Teampay app is available on Android and iOS which allows for real-time transfer of payments:
How it works:
- Teams receive a Teampay unique team code from the association prior to the season.
- The first player to register via the code is assigned as the team captain/team delegate.
- All subsequent players will be assigned as team members.
- Team captains/delegates can be changed if required.
- Players join the team via the Teampay app, using the unique code.
- All players can enter their Debit/Credit card details and add the card to their Teampay account. This information is securely stored with only the last 4 digits visible.
- Team delegates select available players on game night.
- Match fees are automatically split between all playing players.
- Payments will be only deducted from players that have been selected by the team captain/delegate.
Forfeit fines will be payable via the Teampay app for the Winter 2026 season.
- Team members will receive a push notification when an opposition team submits a forfeit within the app.
- The association will still attempt to contact the team delegate when the forfeit has been submitted.
- Push notifications will only be received if enabled in your phone settings.
- Forfeit fines will remain due 2 weeks from the forfeit date & can still be paid through the Teampay app during that time period.
Please see our updated FDBA – Forfeit Procedure
Stadium singlets are available for hire at all venues when one or more players are unable to take the court due to incorrect uniform. A hire fee of $20.00* applies. The stadium singlets are available for use at no charge when there is a clash of uniform colours.
The hire fee will be invoiced by the FDBA front office via the Teampay App. The charge will display in the app with a due date for payment, which can be paid for similarly to a match fee.
New teams are not charged for singlet hire until the 5th round of the season fixture. When stadium singlets are in use they must be worn by all players on the team, individual use is not permitted.
*As of February 2026, Teampay charges a transaction fee of $0.26** plus a 2.5% Stripe credit card processing fee for each player payment – Teampay Terms of Service

The app will clearly display the match fee & processing fee before the nominated team delegate finalises the transaction.
**Team delegates can also allocate the entire match payment to a single person. This option may suit teams who rotate who pays each week and can help minimise the $0.26 fee by applying it once rather than per player.
Yes – A different team member can make the match payment each week. The individual simply needs to be registered in TeamPay, and the team captain can select them to process the payment for that round.
Alternatively, the initial team captain can delegate their ‘captain‘ role* to other members of the team, allowing these members flexibility to choose who pays each night if they wish to do so.

*Multiple members of the team can have the captain’s role in the app.
*FDBA Staff can change the team captain upon request from the team delegate.
From Winter 2026, Teampay this will be mandated across all senior competitions.
We believe this method will streamline the process for both team delegates and FDBA Staff alike.
Team Delegates: Teampay simplifies game day payments by automatically splitting match fees between selected players.
The aim is to remove the burden of collecting team and player game fees, making it simple for team delegates to process match payments without having to pay at the front counter.
FDBA Staff:
By streamlining the process of match-day payments, this will allow our game-night staff additional time and resources to oversee matches and resolve any issues that may arise.
Alternative Method:
Teams may request an upfront season invoice.

This must be completed before round 1 of grading.
A failed payment is indicated with a red ‘X’ sent to the player’s name. Almost all failed payments are due to insufficient funds or the teammate’s card details have expired. Before trying to process the payment a second time, be sure to get that teammate to check their account funds and card details.
If a player’s payment has failed, the first step is to have the player/parent check their card details are up to date and there are enough funds in the account. After the parent has checked their account, you can select the Retry Failed Payment button to re-attempt payment for the failed payee(s). This will only attempt to take payment from anyone whose payment initially failed.
A red padlock is pin protection added by a player. This stops any unauthorised payment from being debited from that player’s account. This setting can be disabled in the app by the individual user if they wish to do so.
The first adult account to join the team defaults as team captain. To promote another team member to team captain, the current captain simply clicks on the teammate they wish to promote, then selects ‘Promote to team captain’. Make sure you get the newly promoted team captain to log out and log back in for it to take effect. Only Primary account holders can be made team captain, not child accounts.
