As we move closer to a return for community sport we will soon be able to share our return to sport plan.
Current Return to Sport Structure
We are working within the restrictions outlined in the Victorian government’s roadmap for a stage return.
At this stage only junior outdoor sport will be permitted before indoor facilities may open.
We are currently planning for the following:
- Roadmap Third Step: 3×3 Hustle Peninsula Tour (outdoor junior event)
- Roadmap Last Step: Junior & Senior Domestic Competitions resume
This Sunday 18th October the state government is set to announce changes to the metropolitan roadmap for reopening.
FDBA will work through the announcement and we will update you all as soon as we can.
Club Feedback/Summer 2020-21 Season
Thank you to all clubs that recently submitted feedback on the upcoming season – your honest and detailed responses are always appreciated.
I can confirm that regular junior domestic competition matches will not be scheduled during the school holidays.
A decision on domestic matches during the Sth Pen Tournament weekend (27/28 Feb) will be made when we are in a position to confirm the Summer season calendar.
FDBA remains committed to our traditional Summer/Winter season structure corresponding to the relevant Victorian school term dates.
We are also exploring the idea of a stand-alone lightning premiership style competition during the Summer Holidays – stay tuned for more information on this.
Peninsula 3X3 Hustle Tour
This Sunday 18th October the state government is set to announce changes to restrictions that may impact the dates for the tour.
Following the announcement we will contact all teams with updated information.
If the event is postponed we expect to be able to offer teams the option to transfer to the amended dates or a partial or full refund as required.
We will also soon be in a position to confirm venues.
Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you on court soon!
