Frankston Basketball is seeking Expressions of Interest from anyone interested in becoming a basketball statistician and undertaking upcoming beginner training through Basketball Victoria.
Becoming a statistician is a great way to stay involved in basketball away from playing, coaching or refereeing, while developing a greater understanding of the game from courtside.
Applicants should be 14 years or older, have a basic knowledge of basketball and be comfortable using computers.

Upcoming Training
Interested candidates will be required to:
- Attend one online Beginner Statistician Course on either Wednesday, September 30th or Thursday, October 1st.
- Attend one courtside training session: October 3 at Kilsyth, or October 10 or 17 at the State Basketball Centre.
- Commit to ongoing training following the beginner course.
The training provides an introduction to basketball statistics and the skills required to work on the stats bench, with opportunities to continue developing towards accredited statistician roles.
Whether you’re a parent, player, volunteer or simply looking for another way to be involved in the game, this is a great opportunity to learn a new side of basketball.
