Perth Wildcats centre Majok Majok suffered an Achilles tendon injury at team training on Wednesday.
Majok was also a member of the Frankston Blues 2019 NBL1 Men’s program.
Scans have since confirmed a rupture of the tendon, and the 27-year-old will undergo surgery to repair the injury.
The recovery time for a ruptured Achilles tendon is approximately nine months, meaning he will miss the entire upcoming NBL season.
Majok was entering the second season of his two-year contract with the Wildcats.
We wish Majok well and a speedy recovery.
