CALLUM BARKER RECOMMITS TO FRANKSTON BLUES

Frankston Blues (FDBA) are proud to announce that Callum Barker will suit up for the Blues for the upcoming NBL1 South 2021 Season.

Following the cancellation of the 2020 NBL1 South Season, Barkers’s commitment has been rolled over to begin this upcoming season.

Barker has spent the 2019 season with the Hobart Huskies, where he earned a position as part of the Championship NBL1 All Star (Thailand) team.

Head Coach Andrew Harms spoke about Barker’s opportunity and responsibility.

“Cal has come back in 2021 in outstanding condition and has been excellent on court since we resumed.”

“His body type will allow us to use him in the traditional 5, as well as swing into the pick and pop 4 man position.”

“Cal is hungry to learn and hungry to compete, so his development has been considerable in the time he has been with us.”

“With Dan out for the first half of the season, we know Cal will not only absorb the extra responsibility but flourish in the new found responsibility.”

“We can’t wait to see him in action in 2021!”

Barker spoke about his return and the team’s potential.

“I can’t wait to get back to work with the Blues for the 2021 season.”

“I’m excited for what this season holds and the potential of this team to win a championship!’
