Frankston Basketball’s April School Holiday Camps saw record numbers of participants across both camp offerings with something running every weekday.
The Slam Dunk Holiday Camp which runs every weekday of School Holidays saw 299 participants across 9 days, kids in this camp were treated to a variety of fun games and drills to help them improve their skill sets in preparation for the FDBA Winter Domestic Competitions!
Our introductory camp, Aussie Hoops also had record numbers with 168 participants joining in the fun across 5 days of School Holidays, these camps were more focused on introducing the fundamental skills of basketball while providing an inclusive and engaging first experience with the sport.
FDBA Basketball Development Manager, Jarryd Moss spoke about the camps.
“We were really please with the numbers for the April Camps especially after such a disappointing year in 2020”
“It’s clear to see that basketball is well and truly thriving in the Frankston and District area, we are working hard to do our part in providing opportunities for all kids to get involved”
“One of the most exciting things was not only the number of participants but also the number of coaches wanting to get involved and give back to the community”
“We had 6 new coaches including U14’s and U16’s Junior Blues players all the way through to our Senior Big V and NBL1 players”
