The April School Holiday period was a huge success with offerings taken up, by over 850 junior basketball participants.

From camps, tournaments, and senior elite basketball there was something for everyone.

FDBA Basketball Development Manager, Jarryd Moss spoke about the camps.

“We were really pleased with the numbers for the April Camps especially after such a disappointing year in 2020”

“It’s clear to see that basketball is well and truly thriving in the Frankston area, we are working hard to do our part in providing opportunities for all kids to get involved”

On the middle Saturday of the holidays, our NBL1 teams hosted a free Blues Family Fun Day, with 75 children attending. (Recap)

“Activities like the club’s Blues Family Fun Day clinics give our senior representative players exposer to the local grassroots community”

“Following the clinics, we offered discounted tickets to the opening games, and it was great to see those families take up the offer, and we hope to see them continue to come to games.”

The next day saw a one-day 3×3 Street Hustle event hosted in our stadium. (Recap)

FDBA Operations Manager Dion Paull spoke about the event.

“This was our first 3×3 event since our return to sport Peninsula Tour in November last year.”
