BV MENTAL HEALTH ROUND RECAP

BV MENTAL HEALTH ROUND RECAP

Last weekend the Frankston Blues participated, in Basketball Vicotria’s inaugural Mental Health Round.

On Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, both our NBL1 (Recap) and Big V Youth League teams wore orange Lifeline league branded socks while officials wore orange lanyards, and a number of our Junior Blues teams also purchased the socks for Friday night’s games.

Prior to that a number of our Frankston Blues players and clubs including Kiera (12.1 Girls), Matt (16.5 Boys), Tori Jackson (Junior Blues Coach/NBL1 Women) Saraid Taylor (NBL1 Women), and Daniel Trist (NBL1 Men) attended headspace Frankston for a tour of the facility and to gain some insight in to the services and resources available to the Frankston community.

Bethany Knight and the team spoke to Blues representative about what headspace offer and who they aim to assist.

For the past month, the club has participated in ‘The Push Up Challenge’ to help raise awareness and funds for headspace Frankston. Donations are still open HERE

FDBA Basketball Development Manager Jarryd Moss spoke about headspace Frankston.
