The Frankston Blues remain the only unbeaten team in the NBL1 Women’s competition, winning its 10th consecutive game, this time at home over the winless Diamond Valley Eagles.
The Blues shot out to a commanding 20-point lead in the first term and never looked back, holding Diamond Valley at bay for the remainder of the game.
The Eagles were able to reduce the deficit to 11 points to close the second quarter, thanks to some strong defence and scoring from youngsters Hayley Sparks and Sophie Burrows.
After the main break however, Frankston showcased its poise, extending and maintaining its lead to secure the win.
Darcee Garbin led the game in scoring (18) and rebounding (15), while Saraid Taylor and Ella Batish also put together impressive games.

The Frankston Blues have extended its winning streak to six games following its victory over the visiting Diamond Valley Eagles.
The lead swung back and forth across the first half, with Diamond Valley holding the advantage the majority of the time.
Led by an enormous 38-point performance from Robert Heath, the Eagles were feeling confident heading into halftime.
As the second half played out, the momentum gathered by Diamond Valley started to dissipate, the result of 22 turnovers in the contest.
Frankston were able to make the visitors pay for their mistakes, attacking the rim with its size and kicking it out to open shooters.
Forward duo Dillon Stith and the debuting Daniel Trist combined for 50 points, while sharpshooter Lachlan Barker contributed 29 points of his own.
The Blues rode this hot shooting in the second half, taking the lead before the end of the third quarter before running away with the win in the final 10 minutes.
