This weekend the WNBL 2021/22 season kicks off, with the 2020/21 Champions; Southside Flyers playing against the Bendigo Braves Saturday night and the Sydney Flames playing against Canberra Capitals Sunday Sunday afternoon. (WNBL 2021/22 Fixture)

  • Saraid Taylor (Southside Flyers) – Averaged 7.6 points, 1.4 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game in NBL1 South 2021.
  • Ella Batish (Adelaide Lightning)- Averaged 8.8 points, 2 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game in NBL1 South 2021. “The 22-year-old 6’2” centre from Cheltenham returns for her second year to boost the Lightning’s backup options.” (Signing Announcement)
  • Darcee Garbin (Perth Lynx) – Averaged 23.5 points, 2.5 assists and 10.6 rebounds per game in NBL1 South 2021. “Garbin was a standout performer. Getting her back for the new season was a high priority for the Perth Lynx front office and coaching staff.” (Signing Announcement)
  • Tessa Lavey (Bendigo Spirit)- Averaged 15.4 points, 7.7 assists, 1.9 steals and 6.6 rebounds per game in NBL1 South 2021. “The 28-year-old had an astonishing 2020 season both on the court and the stats sheet. Lavey led the league for average minutes last season (35), finished in the Top 10 for scorers (197 at 15.2PPG) in a star-studded year and finished third in the WNBL for average assists (5.9).” (Signing Announcement)
  • Taylah Gilliam (Southside Flyers) – Averaged 13.5 points, 2.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game in NBL1 South 2021.
  • Chelsea D’Angelo (Southside Flyers) – Averaged 8 points, 4 assists and 6 rebounds per game in NBL1 South 2021.
