Picked from recent tryouts, Country athletes have earned selection into the State Development Program – Country (SDP) squads for 2022/2023, including 4 Frankston Blues players.
SDP Country athletes work under the Basketball Victoria High Performance curriculum as athletes will work with identified coaches under the direction of the High Performance Head Coaches – Country in regional satellite hubs and at regular combined training camps.
Basketball Victoria’s General Manager – High Performance and Pathways Grant Wallace said “Selection into Country State Development Program is an amazing achievement! It gives athletes the opportunity to become better players and people on and off the court and is an important step for our elite country athletes as they progress further into the high performance pathway and hopefully into a Green and Gold jersey one day”
