Frankston Blues would like to thank Pahlyss Hokianga for everything she has brought to our program this season.
In her 11 games with the Blues, as our starting guard Pahlyss put together averages of 11.6 points, 3 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Her talent was clear from the moment she stepped on the floor – a zippy guard from New Zealand with excellent ball-handling, poise beyond her years and a competitiveness that made an immediate impact.
But just as importantly, Pahlyss has brought a positive attitude, a huge smile and a youthful exuberance that has been a breath of fresh air for the women’s program.
Pahlyss has also made a wonderful impact off the court, spending time coaching within our FDBA development programs and helping teach the next generation of Frankston kids. They loved every minute of learning from her.

Pahlyss will play her final game for the Blues this Sunday, May 24 at home against Northern Force, before departing to begin her first year of college basketball in the United States.
She will join the Portland Pilots, who announced Pahlyss as part of their 2026 signing class. Portland head coach Michael Meek described her as an “elite playmaker” and “elite on-ball defender”. Her résumé already includes international experience with New Zealand, along with a standout 2025 season where she led the nation in scoring at 33.5 points per game.
While we are disappointed to see her go, we are incredibly excited to see her excel in the next stage of her career. Thank you for your contribution, your energy and the way you have represented our club. We wish you all the very best for the future.
