The Frankston Blues are thrilled to announce that star forward Lauren Scherf has re-signed for the 2025 NBL1 South season.
A dominant presence on both ends of the floor, Scherf was outstanding in the 2024 NBL1 South season, averaging 20.8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game. Over the summer, she has continued to showcase her talent with Nesibe Aydin in Turkey’s Women’s Basketball Super League, posting 12.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
In February 2025, Scherf was named in the Australian Opals training squad for their April camp in Melbourne ahead of the Trans-Tasman series against New Zealand and the FIBA Asia Cup in China—a crucial step towards the 2026 FIBA World Cup.
Head Coach Dean Kinsman spoke about Scherf’s return.

Lauren Scherf joins a strong Blues women’s roster for the 2025 season, alongside Bonnie Deas, Emily Monaghan, Kassie Boorer, Courtney Wilkins, Tori Jackson, Lou Brown, and Jacqui Trotto.
