Ready to get on court this term? Frankston Basketball has three awesome development programs running across Term 1 – from first timers as young as 3, right through to domestic players chasing that β€œnext level” confidence and skill.


Mini Hoops (Ages 3–5) – Beginner Basketball Program

A fun, friendly first step into basketball – with parental involvement.

Mini Hoops is built for little legends aged 3–5, using warm-ups, interactive games, and simple skill drills to help kids learn the basics while building confidence, coordination, and a love of being active.

Term 1 Cost: $63 (7 sessions) – $9 per session
Dates:

  • Saturdays: 7 Feb – 21 Mar*
  • Sundays: 8 Feb – 29 Mar*

Please note (no sessions):

  • Sat 7 Mar (Labour Day Weekend)
  • Sun 8 Mar (Labour Day Weekend)
  • Sat 28 Mar (Junior Domestic Grand Final Day)

What to bring: Runners, clothes appropriate for physical activity, drink bottle, and a ball (size 5 max) – limited basketballs are available to borrow.

Game Ready (U10, U12, U14)

High-quality coaching for domestic players who want to lift their game.

Game Ready is designed for U10 / U12 / U14 domestic players, focusing on skill development to improve game performance and help athletes feel prepared for representative try-outs.

Venue: Elisabeth Murdoch College (Langwarrin),
Term 1 Cost: $84 (7 weeks / 7 sessions) – $12 per session
Dates: Sundays 8 Feb – 29 Mar*
Times:

  • 3:00pm (45 mins)
  • 4:00pm (45 mins)

Ford Aussie Hoops (Ages 5–10)

The official intro program for kids – delivered with Basketball Australia.

Aussie Hoops is the official introductory basketball program for 5–10-year-olds, delivered in partnership with Basketball Australia. It’s the perfect way to learn skills, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy a supportive environment – no matter your child’s experience level.

Player Pack Included (New Registrations)

New player registration includes: basketball, t-shirt, sling bag + drink bottle.
Player packs are mailed by Basketball Australia and take 4–5 weeks to arrive – ordering early is recommended.

  • Tuesdays: 3 Feb – 24 Mar
  • Saturdays: 7 Feb – 21 Mar*
  • Sundays: 8 Feb – 29 Mar*

    • Sunday: 3:00pm – 3:45pm and 4:00pm – 4:45pm

*Saturday participants are eligible for a make-up session
