FUTURE NBA STARS SPARKLE FOR UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY IN TOUR GAME AT FRANKSTON

IT was the day Ivan Rabb and Jaylen Brown came to Frankston…

The future NBA draft picks were part of the touring University of California, Berkeley side that took on a Victoria Select team at Frankston Basketball stadium on Sunday afternoon — and they made their mark.

There were power dunks, sublime passes and eye-popping highlights as the US college side cruised to a 100-63 win.

Rabb quickly showed off his athleticism, flying through the air to grab a rebound in the opening seconds, while Brown had the crowd gasping with an atomic dunk.

Victorian under-19 star DJ Vasilijvic kept the state side in the contest with 19 points in the first half, including several long-range threes.

But the touring side pulled away, with Jordan Mathews also catching the eye.

Cal Berkeley are back at Frankston on Tuesday night, up against the home town Frankston Blues of the SEABL.
