POWERADE JOINS FORCES WITH FRANKSTON BLUES SENIOR WOMEN AS NAMING RIGHTS SPONSOR

Frankston’s women will be supported on and off the court by Powerade (CCA) who have joined forces with the Blues as naming rights sponsor for the 2019 Basketball Victoria managed NBL1.

With first year head coach Jess May at the helm of the Powerade Frankston Blues in 2019, she explained that through the support of sponsors like Powerade, it enabled the club to lay the foundations for a successful senior program.

“It’s great to have Powerade’s support for the new Basketball Victoria NBL1 season,” explained May.

“We have been busy assembling and preparing the best possible team for the season ahead. As the best sports rehydration drink on the market, they are now supporting our efforts both on and off the court.”

Having already signed star duo Steph Reid and JoAnna Smith along with Taylor Lee, May added that further additions to the team would be announced soon.

“As the team has been taking shape in the offseason, the girls have been working extremely hard to ensure that they can be competitive this season,” added May. “We have some more exciting additions to announce soon, so with Powerade also on board we are definitely heading in the right direction.”

Blues Chairman Chris Beattie outlined that without the support of commercial partners such as Powerade, the Blues senior program would not be possible.

“Powerade have been a fantastic supporter of basketball in Frankston,” said Beattie. “Their commitment to supporting the Blues Senior Women in an exciting new league in 2019 demonstrates their support of not only elite basketball, but women’s sport as well.”
