FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER: FRANKSTON BLUES FAMILY (23/03/2020)

To the Frankston Blues family,

Amidst this terrible situation we all find ourselves in I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyal support.

The next few months will present difficult challenges for many people and for our Association. We also know that if we stick together and if we continue to support and care for each other, we will get through this and we will come out stronger and better than ever.

This Association has a rich history and I have seen in the past 12 months the kindness and selfless approach people associated with Frankston Basketball demonstrate. This is a time of hardship, make no mistake,  but it is in times of hardship that great people emerge, people who are selfless, people that are loyal and people that care. This Association will bring back people and give them a sense of pride and hope, that you can be absolutely assured of.

Our club’s strength and passion comes from a sense of community and togetherness. From knowing that you belong to a club that embraces every person equally. A club that truly cares about your welfare.

In difficult times such as now, the Frankston Blues is at its best.

Every Frankston Blues player from under 12’s through to our NBL1 teams will continue to train alone in their backyards with our programs that have been distributed, they will during the school holidays play within the State Government rules about socialising, our coaches will continue to plan on innovative ways to improve the players when they get back and the administration will continue to think of innovative ideas and strategies to hunt and not fall prey to a lack of direction or hope.

This is not a time for pigs wallowing in their slop to bring down the eagles that are soaring to find solutions. This is a time to truly support, encourage and look after each other.

I ask you to continue believing in the Frankston Blues. When we get to the other side and we will, we will be bigger, better and more motivated than ever to realise our true potential.
