The Frankston Blues are excited to announce the activation of Phase 1 of the Return to Blues strategy that will allow our Junior Blues to be able to return to training from Tuesday the 23rd of June and will prepare them for the return to VJBL competition on July 17th (TBC).
The program is in line with all of the State Governments and Basketball Victoria’s guidelines around health and safety and will place a large focus on both the physical and mental health of the players as they return to the court.
The Return to Blues strategy is built around a gradual return to training with a reduced volume of time on the court and a mandatory physical preparation and recovery protocol provided by Core Advantage. We’re also offering a High-Performance Schedule for our athletes over the course of Phase 1 that will include Strength & Conditioning sessions, Mental Health Workshops, Mobility/Yoga sessions in a variety of both Zoom sessions and on-court sessions.
We’d like to thank Freight Management for their support of our Junior Blues program and in particular this project as well as our long-time Program Partner, Peninsula Sports Medicine Group who have provided guidance to allow our athletes to return to the court safely.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Junior Blues Coaches who have done a phenomenal engaging with the players and families throughout this time, they are such an asset to our club and their leadership will be vital to the success of our return.
