The Sky Sport New Zealand Breakers this morning have kicked off NBL Free Agency signing Dan Trist.
Trist has been apart of the Frankston Blues Senior Men’s program since 2019, after returning to Australia from Spain and was a key piece to the Blues 2019 Finals-Campaign Season.
Since playing with the Blues he has averaged 20 points and 9 rebounds per game, across 23 games.
Trist was signed to play the 2020 NBL1 South for the Blues, which has since been canceled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
On the NBL front, Dan Trist joins the Breakers from the South East Melbourne Phoenix where he suited up in 21 games including a season-high of 16 points against the Taipans in January.
Matt Walsh, Breakers’ owner spoke about the signing.
“Dan is a proven player in our league and a player who has had success in Europe as well.”
“We are excited about what he brings to our frontcourt and think he will be productive with more opportunity.”
