Content Warning: Sensitive Topics. #Unplug24
On 24 October last year, 17-year-old Mac Holdsworth took his own life after being sexually extorted.
Around three months after Mac took his own life, his father, FDBA CEO; Wayne Holdsworth decided he had a responsibility to ensure other families didn’t go through the pain his family was suffering. It led to the creation of a registered charity, SmackTalk. www.smacktalk.com.au
To raise awareness and funds to help prevent sexual extortion and suicide, SmackTalk have launched Unplug24, calling on people to step away from social media for 24 hours on Mac’s anniversary (24 October)
Frankston Blues are taking on the Unplug24 challenge, and we encourage you to join the team.
Your support will enable SmackTalk to provide much needed educational programs – and help save lives.
Even if you don’t think you are in a position to donate, we’d still love you to sign up www.smacktalk.com.au and stay off socials during Unplug24 to show your support.
