The Frankston Blues are thrilled to announce the re-signing of point guard Lucas Barker for the next two years.
Since joining the club for the NBL1 South 2022 season, Barker has become a cornerstone of success for both the Senior and Junior Blues programs.
In the NBL1 South 2024 season, Lucas led the Senior Men’s team as captain while also serving as coach for the Under 18.1 Boys. Under his guidance, the team achieved remarkable success, including winning the Eltham Dandenong Tournament, securing a silver medal at the National Junior Classic, and qualifying for the inaugural Under 18 National Junior Club Championships in Perth.
In the 2024 NBL1 South season, Lucas was again awarded the league’s ‘Golden Hand’ Award, averaging 14.2 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2 steals per game.
Lucas Barker joins contracted players Daniel Trist, Igor Hadziomerovic and Tom Garrett, as returning head coach Andrew Harms and assistant-coach/recruiter Adam Jackson form the club’s NBL1 South Men’s 2025 playing roster.
