Jo Wood formally announced as the Blues NBL1 Women’s coach.
The FDBA are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Jo Wood as the NBL1 Women’s coach for the 2026 season.
Jo has spent the past 2 seasons as the assistant coach to Dean Kinsman whilst also being the assistant coach of the WNBL Southside Flyers.
“Jo is, first and foremost, a wonderful person with strong values around respect, loyalty, and honesty. Her astute and extensive understanding of the game of basketball and the way she develops players makes her the perfect person to lead the Frankston Women’s program.” FDBA CEO Wayne Holdsworth said.
“I’m incredibly excited and honoured to step into this role. Frankston has one of the most passionate supporter bases in the league, and it is a privilege to lead this team into a new era of Blues Basketball. We have a fantastic group of hard-working young women, and I’m eager to continue building on the proud legacy of this club. Go Blues,” Coach Wood said.
