The Winter 2025 Season came to an exciting close with a huge Junior Domestic Grand Final Day and the U8’s Participation Day.
This was a milestone occasion; the first Grand Finals played away from Frankston Basketball Stadium as the stadium redevelopment gets underway. Our community embraced the change, and Jubilee Park Stadium, Patterson River Secondary College, and Elisabeth Murdoch College proved to be fantastic venues for the day.
Under 8’s Kick Off the Action
The day began with the U8 participation matches, paired by ladder positions (1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th, etc.). The games were full of energy, close finishes, and plenty of smiles, the perfect way to launch a finals day.
Juniors Take Centre Stage
From there, the U10s, U12s, and U14s took the floor in their Grand Finals. Each match showcased incredible teamwork and talent, with MVP awards presented to standout players from every game.
By the Numbers
- 102 games played across the day
- 4,563 total points scored
- 1,550 players took part
- 63% of games decided by single digits
- Highest scoring team: FHS U14 Boys Lightning Bolt (57 points)
Club Highlights
- Frankston Bobcats led the way with 8 Grand Final wins
- Mt Eliza Meteors close behind with 7 titles
A Big Thank You
Congratulations to all players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and families for making the Winter season a success. And a special thank you to Fratelli Frankston for their continued support of our finals series.
