Frankston Blues would like to acknowledge Nat Porter, who will be wrapping up her time as Head of Coaching in the Junior Girls program at the end of the season.
Nat has played a huge role in developing Junior Blues athletes for a decade. She holds a very special place in Blues basketball and has shown time and again that her dedication to the program and its athletes is second to none. It is clear how much she cares about ensuring every girl has the opportunity to get the best out of herself, both on and off the court.
Nat’s contribution has helped shape the continued growth of the girls program, the development of the Futures pathway and the opportunities now available to young athletes across the club.
Reflecting on her time with Frankston Blues, Nat said:
“It has been an absolute privilege to be a part of the Frankston Blues over the past decade, first as a coach and more recently as Junior Girls Coaching Coordinator. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together. The continued growth of the girls’ program, the development of the Futures pathway, the commitment of our coaching group and the opportunities now available to our athletes have all been the result of many people working towards a shared vision.
“The timing also feels right as the Frankston Blues prepares to begin an exciting new era with its move into its new home at Bardia Avenue. The club has a wonderful opportunity to continue growing the girls’ program, create even more opportunities for young athletes and build something truly special for the Frankston community. I look forward to watching that journey unfold and seeing where the program goes over the coming years.
“While increasing commitments with my new business, All-Star Pathways, mean I can no longer dedicate the time this role deserves, this certainly isn’t goodbye. Frankston Blues has been a huge part of my life for the past ten years and will always hold a special place for me. I look forward to continuing to support the club wherever I can and watching the girls’ program continue to thrive in the years ahead.
“To the players, coaches, volunteers, officials and families who have shared this journey with me, thank you. It has been a privilege to be part of your stories, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Frankston Blues.”
We sincerely thank Nat for her outstanding contribution to Frankston Blues and wish her all the very best for what comes next.
